inspirations for videos and more

by arianakoblitz on November 1, 2009

Here are some of the videos I’ve come across that inspired me while I was thinking about concepts of time… many of them are from having scoured the web for my ME101 Visual Thinking class. I thought it was definitely applicable. enjoy :)

here we see a creation by Arthur Ganson, who is interested in seeing how we humans react to movement, especially of movement made by machines.

here we see an amazing honda commercial… it’s not a computer graphic, but a real-life performance that now stands in a museum somewhere:

next we have an interesting art performance by Kseniya Simonova. She uses a lightbox and sand, music, and plays at various culturally significant moments and events.

The last thing I wanted to share was an exhibition that was up last spring quarter in Wallenberg hall, called Places and Spaces, and it explored the history of science through maps. I thought that was just perfect for what we’re doing here.
